The Kane Family

Kyle turned 9 months old on June 3! So, we celebrated with a good ole' doctor checkup :) He is really good at the doctors, even though Carrie (Pediatrician pictured below) loves to give him shots *laughing*. He's so cute, he'll get poked, scream for a second, then we "shake it off" and drink some "baba" and he's all good and smiling out the door.

Kyle weighed in at 21 lbs. and 30 inches long. He's still in the 90-something percentile for height but thinned out and is around 72% for weight.

Other than that - all reports good and Kyle is doing great.

Kyle doesn't quite fit in the weigh bucket *laughing*. Of course he had to give me his pose face since the camera was out. awwwww -sooo cute!! :)

Mommy and Daddy had a day at the park to scout out "Clique Baby" and we had a blast pretending we were 5 again on the swings!

When we got back home, Kyle wanted to snuggle boo.

Then he put himself to sleep! He now holds his own bottle and will drink it till he's asleep. All i have to do is pick him up and put him in bed~! Kinda makes mommy sad, where's my baby :(

We had never been to the Oregon Zoo, which we heard was fantastic! So, on a lazy Sunday, we figured we'd beat the crowds and head on in. Only problem: it was a little chilly and we stupidly thought the weather man was correct when predicting the clowds would burn off and we'd have sun - alas - no sun :(. In the end, we cut our zoo trip short, it was just too chilly - but we did get to enjoy some parts...

But all the kiddos were screaming and it echoed really bad, so he got scared and cried (he's so empathetic), so daddy held him...

but Kyle was NOT feeling the screaming kids :(.

Amongst all the families joys, I did find time to host another clique mixer at one of the coolest restaurants in Portland, Casa Del Matador on 23rd Ave. Here are some pictures....

I can NOT believe how long it's been since I last updated?! I was thinking, man it's been a while, and noticing 4-1 was last entry? Wowza...i'm falling behind...or I'm just getting busier - yah -totally busier. Since spring sprung, it's been 24/7, which is great.

To start, Mike is great - working insane hours, but we are extremely grateful and thankful.
I've been working lots and lots as well. I'm still working hard for American Family Insurance as the State Marketing Specialist, and as such, part of my duties are to be the co-tournament director for GOLF for HOPE. It was named the High Hopes Charities Golf Tournament for Rapheal House - but in my effort to streamline the presentation to make it media friendly, I've branded the event GOLF for HOPE- and I'm also the webmaster, director of sponsorships, and director of PR. Amoungst all the work, there has to be some play! We actually just (like 10 minutes ago) got back from a Memorial Day BBQ at my friend Mi'Lane's house...they are a lot of fun and know how to cook a mean spread of deliciousness!

Then, we had to take pics of the twins...it was look-a-like day for daddy and kyle...

Annnddd, it's time to go! Kyle was asleep after driving 2 blocks...yup, tired!

Thank goodness for the sun!!! Time to turn the hot tub into a cool tub - a tradition after my sweltering summer being pregnant last year. Kyle LOVES the water and had a blast in his new baby raft - it's a totally cool toy!

Kyle got invited to his first "1st Bday" Party! My friend Casey's daughter Delaney turned ONE in style! She's the cutie in a tutu - I think she likes Kyle :) But Kyle sees a camera, so he'd rather pose to show off his totally cool custom party hat that Delaney's mommy made! So cute!
