Wow! Just had to share....dare i test my luck?

Ok...have to share that Kyle actually slept for 5 straight hours 2 nights in a ROW!!! wow....wonder what the trick is?

So, needless to say, mommy is thankful for some extra zz's.

I just had the BEST shopping day ever with our little man Kyle. Mikey's work gave him some gift cards to Babies R Us, so of course mommy wanted to get her little man some duds. I guess diapers and formula make better sense, but my little man has to be stylin! :)

We got some cute clothes, but had to try on some hats too.

I don't think he was liking this one....nah...next....

And the BEST picture EVEERRR!!!! I was just joking with the family how I was going to teach Kyle to give a "peace out" when saying good-bye - since little girls blow kisses....then you wouldn't believe my luck!! The hat must have brought out Kyle's "peace out" side...(Jessica is dying laughing right now...!!)

Next hat...nope....not a likey...

Then we got out Kyle's 3-in-one chair, he was being a fussy boy, and we try EVERYTHING, he has so many toys in the livingroom and NONE of them make him happy yet! Looks like Kyle's a big man now with his big man chair!

Then I was soooo sick of his hair looking all shabby, so it was time for a cut! Step one, spike it all out!

This weekend was a rough weekend. We got the call that Mike's uncle Jock was battling cancer and they didn't think he had much time left. Being one of Mike's most loved uncles, we didn't hesitate to get to California to spend as much time as possible with him before he passed. We did get to see him before he lost his battle, and he was even a little coherant and knew we were there. We will always miss you Uncle Jock, you are truly cherished...rest in peace.

Mike's uncle lost his battle with intestine cancer on Tuesday Oct. 14. We wanted to remember Jock as the funny straight-shooting man he was, and found these great pictures of him in action during Christmas 2006. (feel free to save!) We love you Jock!

Jessica caught him by surprise here....she's a freak about getting everyone's picture! Jock was NO exception. :)

With all the sorrow around us, Mr. Kyle was a little glimmer of joy. This was the first time the family got to see him, and it's sad we had to meet under these circumstances, but we're glad we were able to come down before it was too late. On the way home, we were able to swing into Reno to visit my best friend/business partner, Carrie. She used to live in Portland and moved just a few months ago, and the last time we saw each other I was huge pregnant! It was sooo cool to see her and have Auntie Carrie meet Kyle too.

And, the first day he actually paid attention to the mobile, he actually noticed it!!?!!

Kyle turned 5 weeks yesterday! He's getting so big, it's so weird...he looks like a little man! We've definitely (ok me, mommy) have not been sleeping much. He's night schedule runs like this, up at 12:30am, 2:30am, 4am, 6am, 8am, and so on....i think one night I got him to sleep for 4 hours straight, but that was a rough day, as he was soooo cranky all day, he just tuckered out! Kyle is constantly hungry, and I'm sure he's 20lbs by now!

He also wants to move and be entertained. I think he's sick of laying down, so he wants to sit up and be apart of everything. He doesn't enjoy his swing too much or bouncer or any other toy....although he did actually start to look at the mobile on his swing! It was soooo cool! And, we even got a little giggle out of him too...and the occasional smile is the highlight of my day! We had to switch to lactose free formula, hopefully to help his bowels, and every bottle gets a dose of Karo - my best friend Kandi, who's an RN assured me that would help....I think it has a little bit. Funny how I get excited over his poo's! Lol
