My goodness Thanksgiving was AWESOME! Mikey prepared a FIEST!
Fabulous juicy turkey, green bean bacon caserole, homemade stuffing, gravy, and mashed potatoes, and don't forget the cranberry sauce!

We were SO excited to have our friends over to give thanks. From Left, Mike, Carroll (Mi'Lane's Hubby), Trish, and myself. Mi'Lane got stuck behind the camera. We toasted and went around the table to say what we were thankful for.

I'm definitely thankful for my awesome friends, below are 2 of my fav's, Mi'Lane (left) and Trish.

Here's grammy playing with Kyle. She had to work until 5pm, but was just in time for some grub and Kyle loving.

My friend Trish and I are FREAKS about pictures, and played with Mi'Lane's AWESOME camera! (Mikey, I want this one for Christmas *smile*).

And, I gave the BEST Party favors EVER ! :) Yes, I do say so myself. I went with childhood favorites.....here's Carroll playing with his YoYo.

And Mi'Lane scored a slinky!

Trish made out like a bandit with a mini etch-a-sketch! Ohhhh yah, everyone was jelly jealous.

Dad and Kyle got to have fun after dinner. Kyle actually slept through and let us eat dinner?!? I know!! We all got to watch the game and part of the parade..awwww, fun times.

We had an amazing Thanksgiving and hope you did too. And, no, we did not go out shopping the next day...we let the turkey settle in our tummies! :)

We haven't been upto much lately. I did however get a few moments of mommy time to visit my good friend Trish for her 24th bday. Note the fabulous tiara! :)

Kyle did happen to make time for one of his girlfriends, Mila... She's the 5 month old daughter of my good friend Tara. She was so cute!! So, dad and Kyle worked hard on his outfit...what do you think? By the way, that shirt is a 6-12month shirt and 6 month pants, and size 2 shoes. Yes, a big boy :)

We've been having more fussy time than usual, but who knows why....guess it's part of being a baby :)

Kyle is starting to enjoy his bouncer now too! Here's a goo for the camera (he LOVES the camera....always looks right at it).

Finally, a sleep???! No way, say it's not so. I think he was tuckered. Daddy has the magic touch.

Play time with Grammy, he's sure loving that tongue of his. slobber and alllllll.

I stole a moment to see if I could score a cute pic w/ my little man.....98 shots later...we got one :)

Family day out and about! Our target: Toys R Us, toy shopping for Kyle bug. Gosh, already spoiled. That day we actually only bought stuff for Kyle bug, clothes, toys, etc...must be nice. :) Note: his fabulous Adidas pants and turtle-neck - awwww!! Mommy's favorite outfit. What a cool dood.

That's it for now, talk to you soon :) Have a happy Thanksgiving! Dad is ready to cook up some GRUB!

Kyle had his 2 month appointment the other day. He's doing great, and in the 90-something percentile for everything. I laugh because I could have told the doc that, I'm buying 6-9month clothes for a 2 month old! (laughing) He got some shots, and absolutely did not like that! Thank goodness Grandma was there to hold him while they shot him up, I couldn't take it. I was ready to cry - my poor baby.

So he's 15.2 lbs and 25 inches long right now.

Plus! Kyle is goo'ing so much! He's talking like crazy and I caught it on tape...it's soooooo cool !!!! Here's the video!

Here are some cute new pics of Kyle...I think I caught him by surprise...

'the face' - i'm such a sucker! okkk, mommy will get you out...

he was goo'ing at me!!
and lookey Kyle all cute with Grammy..

Kyle is also in a photo contest right now, a friend of mine from a mom's group is a great photographer and is holding a contest. I would LOVE to win the prize of a photoshoot, so I need your help! Can you go here.... http://photosbymarie.blogspot.com/2008/11/please-vote-for-your-favorite-photo.html and vote for Kyle's picture? It's the peace sign one.

As for news with daddy and me, daddy is working as usual. He works so hard, getting up at midnight 6 days a week to run around Portland. It's a hard job, and especially with the rain and wind coming, it's total misery. But, he comes home with a smile on his face, and we are so thankful.

For me, I'm working hard on a couple things. I work part time for American Family Insurance doing the State Marketing for Oregon and SW Washington. I'm excited since we have some great events all lined up and 2009 is already planned. Makes life so easy that way. And, I'm in the process of interviewing to get my own insurance agency. I've been through a few steps so far, and passed the personality profile survey - THAT was HARD! - and just going through checks and paperwork. I'll keep you posted.

Then, I've started a fashion mixer/networking group, called Clique. The website is up at http://www.cliquemixer.com/. I'm super excited since I'm hoping to open an agency in Portland, and looking to really set more connections from what I have. It's turning out to be quite the event too! (laughing) I have over 40 ladies RSVP'd, in part thanks to a great friend of mine, Lindsay Johnson (thank you girl!). I'm going to have vendors there to sell handbags, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, plus size clothes, and more...it's so exciting! Plus we have fab goodie bags thanks to Curvy Girl Clothing.

And lastly, my grandpa had to come up to OHSU for a heart surgery, and thank GOD everything went ok. This picture is the next day, and he was in great spirits. This was the first time my grandparents go to see Kyle bug. I think Kyle was a tiny bit tired! :)

So, that's the update on the family for now. Be sure to go vote for Kyle' s picture!!! :)

love ya,

Man is Kyle getting big! He'll be 2 months old tomorrow, and I figured that deserved more pictures! :) He's almost too big for his changing table on his playard.

He's definitely starting to smile more, and we get gurgles, but no real laughs yet...can't wait for that to happen. Everytime he goo's we are so excited to meet him! I just want to talk to him and say hi.

Today, we actually captured some smiles on camera!

He's quite excited! He knows after this photoshoot, there's food coming!

K mommy, I did as asked...where's my grub??

So, we gave in, fed the kiddo, and Grammy rocked him to sleep. Awwwww, grammy has the magic touch!

Here are some photos from Halloween the other night. We were invited to my friend Mi'Lane's house to partake in Birthday and Halloween traditions. The decorations were insane! Soooo scarrrryy. I'm a total wuss too, so was very scared something was going to make me scream...thank goodness there weren't too many mean scary jump at you decorations.

Kyle enjoyed the group a lot, he was a good boy. I had a little devil costume for him, but before we left the house, he was so hot, and I didn't want him to overheat....so I dressed him in a little cowboy outfit and mocosins he had gotten from some girls from the office. Unfortunately, I didn't capture any good picutres, except for this one... he's hanging with Laura from Curvy Girl Clothing, Mi'Lane's sister.

This is what happens when you're too cheap to go buy a costume and decide to wade through an overstuffed closet of clothes that don't fit anymore....I created Miss Po Dunk 08. Just brought together some of the worst fashion pieces in my closet, added a belt that didn't fit, a tiara that was totally misplaced, and a blonde wig to top it off!

Posing with the Birthday girl Mi'Lane in the dining room...it was all foggy from the fog machine. SO COOL!

Need a close up of my homemade sash, made from an old pair of pants that no longer fit.

Having fun with Mi'Lane! I was working on my pose :)

I also did my mom's hair and makeup, she was dracula's wife.

I have to say it's some of my finest work! Her hair was insane!!!! awwww....i think she counted 30+ bobbie pins, we hid some spiders and bugs in there too....plus around 5 pounds of makeup and fake blood. perfection!

Then, I got to nappy with Kyle bug. He's such a cuddle-bug. awwwww

heehee, big boy in a big bed.

Then, I woke him up for a quick photoshoot. I wanted a picture!!!! He was saying no at first....

Then he gave in and posed for mommy. Awww...how cute in his osh kosh outfit! I love this one.

Kyle says "hello dood, i'm cool."
AND! We finally have video ready to view!!
Here's PART 1 of "Bringing Baby Home" - Kyle's First day home....
