Well, yesterday was Kyle's first photoshoot. It went pretty well and we are excited to see the photos. My good friend Adrian Adel, www.adrianadelphotography.com, took the photos and I am SO excited to see her magic.
The funniest part was trying to get the cute naked butt shot, laughing, that didn't go so well - he wee wee'd on the pillow. :) oh well - Needed a new pillow anyways.
Other than that, just trying to get into a routine. Daddy is back at work, grandma is working like crazy, and that leaves me at home going a little stir crazy and sleep deprived. I never imagined that I would blink and 3 weeks would have gone by. I don't know where 10 months went, let alone 3 weeks. I have to get back to work soon already, as I'm only taking 1 month completely off (ok - I've worked - but I don't know how not too)...my damn blackberry keeps calling my name. And, I'm going back part time from home till the end of the year...thank God I have an amazing boss and a job I can do from home. Then, before we know it - it'll be the holidays - my oh my how time flys.
I'm definitely ready to get going on life, I feel like I've been sitting around for 9+ months waiting for everything to begin. During the pregnancy, I wasn't sure what it would be like, how my pregnancy would go, how birth would go, and how I would heal, etc etc....what kind of baby we would have...so I didn't plan anything just in case all hell broke loose. Luckily, I've been blessed with a perfect pregnancy, a perfect C section and honestly a very happy baby.
So, now I can start planning.
First up, getting my agency. For those of you who don't know, I work for American Family Insurance as the State Marketing Specialist. I started in this position to learn more about the company, and insurance, and I have to say I LOVE it here (or there?). Amfam is a GREAT company and has a great product, so I could really see myself thriving at Amfam. They have been nothing but amazing with me and my pregnancy, and I look forward to a career with them. I'm hoping they want to make me an agent so I can go kick some arse and win trips around the world for my family. The perks are amazing - if you are good - and I believe I'm great :).
Then, there's the project of SKORCH. It's really a hobby now, my best friend and I who ran the magazine and production company have decided to keep the magazine going on a quarterly basis as a fun side project. We are disolving our corporation as it too much time/money to keep going and in the end, not a profitable venture. So, we'll keep SkorchMagazine.com going for the fun of it and I look forward to creating some fashion layouts as I'm eager to go shopping!!
Mike is doing great and looking forward to next year as well. We hope to have some great updates on him for 2009.
So, for now we look forward to Kyle's pictures and getting the birth announcements out. Mikey and I designed it together :) - so much fun!!
Much love,
the Kanes
